Harpers Handcrafted has a new home in the heart of Bryant, AR, at 201 SW 3rd St.

Built in 1953, our building has been an auto shop, a leather shop, and, for more than 50 years, a church. In February 2026, Harpers Handcrafted took the keys and spent seven months bringing this well-loved space back to life.

Now, its next chapter begins: a place to restore, create, learn, and make something meaningful.

CLASSES START IN OCTOBER

Doing it yourself doesn’t mean going it alone. From upholstery to woodworking to make and take crafts, our classes will provide hands-on, instructed guidance to jump-start your DIY adventures.

Upholstery Foundations

Upholstery Foundations

Learn essential upholstery building blocks through a simple, hands-on project. We will review tools, safe removal and evaluation, padding and fabric, measuring and patterning, attachment, and finishing techniques you can carry into future upholstery work. For this class, you can bring a pre-approved dining room chair seat or work with practice materials provided. All tools will be provided.

Furniture Revival

Furniture Revival

Learn how to evaluate tired furniture, source new projects, and create a thoughtful restoration plan. This beginner-friendly class covers assessment and project planning, how to spot good flips, basic repairs, surface preparation, and how to decide whether to restore, refinish, paint, or preserve the existing finish. We will learn how to use basic restoration tools and techniques. Bring your restoration project images for evaluation at the end of class.

Make Something: Charcuterie Board

Part woodworking demonstration and part creative workshop, see how a handcrafted board moves from glue-up through planing. Then choose a prepared blank to sand, personalize, and finish with food-safe oil and wax. All tools and materials will be provided.

Get comfortable with the tools and skills that make everyday projects and simple home repairs feel doable. You’ll learn the basics of common power tools, how to choose the right tool and hardware for the job, and practice practical skills you can use at home—with plenty of time to ask questions and try things for yourself.
